2004-10-05 [hERO79]: I wished Rob would've given the characters more depth because in all honesty you just don't give a shit about them. But what Rob wanted to make a was a movie where you cheered for the bad guys, and on that level he suceeded. In the next one I believe there's going to be a counter family that they Firefly family goes up against so in a sense they will become the heros of the story.

Most big studios shy away from that sort of stuff, but that's why I like Lions Gate. They just don't give a fuck. They respect the genre fans. Check out the preview of SAW to see what I mean. That looks really nasty.

I didn't know that when I got it, and I was thinking it was some horror movie with some freaky scary thing in the woods....so it's just that because it wasn't, I was dissapointed..

2004-10-08 [hERO79]: I couldn't even sit through that piece of shit. Everything about that movie was bad. I mean it physically hurt me in places. Such as the fight scenes combining rap music and Matrix style effects. And to add more injury to all of this is that they're making a sequel!!!!! The guy that directed this is the worst to come around since Ed Wood. But at least Ed Wood movies were fun in a so bad it's funny way. Next up for this punk is a adapation of the game ALONE IN THE DARK. I never played it so I can't say it stays true to the game or not, but from the quick trailer I saw it looks to be the same House of the Dead torture.
